Congressman Chuy Garcia's Endorsed Candidate Implicated by Federal Investigation
Chicago – Jesus Solorio, candidate for Illinois' 4th Congressional District in the U.S. House of Representatives, released the following statement responding to ongoing, increasingly concerning investigations that now implicate Congressman Chuy Garcia’s political ally, Illinois House Speaker, Mike Madigan:
“The web of corruption is harming our communities across Illinois. Career politicians are making sweetheart deals to line their pockets, while hard-working Illinoisans faced with hard-times are forced to cope with higher taxes, unsafe neighborhoods, and lack of work opportunities.
Chuy Garcia proudly endorsed Speaker Mike Madigan’s reelection in 2018 and should answer to the voters of our district if he stands by his endorsement – Will Chuy side with corrupt career politicians or with the hard-working families of our district?”
